Die casting molds help to obtain high quality die casting products. In the die-casting production process, the die-casting mold is one of the important tools for the efficient production of die-casting parts. To complete the production of high-quality die-casting parts, in addition to having advanced die-casting technology, equipment and professional die-casting talents, it is also necessary to have a set of high-end die-casting molds. However, high-end die-casting molds must have the following seven elements:
1. The appearance and dimensions of the die-casting mold are qualified
The surface of the die-casting mold has no defects, no welding marks, and the surface unevenness is less than 0.3mm. There are no air steaks, splay marks and air bubbles here. The size and accuracy should meet the requirements of official and valid mold opening drawings (or 3D files), and the surface deviation should be less than 0.1mm.
2. Die-casting mold
The appearance is clear, the content of the die-casting mold nameplate is complete, the text is clear, and the arrangement is orderly. The surface of the die-casting mold must not have pits, rust, residual rings, water vapor in and out, oil holes and other defects that affect the appearance.
3. Die casting mold material and hardness
Anti-corrosion measures should be taken on the molding surface. The hardness of the die-casting molded parts should not be lower than 50HRC, or the hardness of the surface hardening treatment should be higher than 600HV.
4. Cooling system of die casting mold
The cooling or heating system of the die casting mold should be unblocked. Water and oil runner gaskets should be made of corrosion-resistant materials.
5. Die casting mould gating system
The gate of the die-casting mold should not affect the appearance of the product and meet the product installation requirements. The cross-section and length of the runner should be reasonably planned. On the premise of ensuring the molding quality, the process flow should be shortened as much as possible, the cross-sectional area should be reduced, and the filling and cooling time should be shortened.
6. Die-casting mold
The parting line shall be free from unevenness, pits, rust and other defects that would affect the appearance of the front and rear die surfaces. The insert is combined with the mold base, and there should be less than 1mm of open space around the fillet.
7. Die-casting mold
For storage and maintenance, the die-casting cavity should be cleaned and sprayed with anti-rust oil. The water, liquid, gas, and electricity inlets and outlets of the die-casting mold should be sealed to prevent foreign matter from entering. Product drawings, structural drawings, cooling and heating system drawings, hot runner drawings, details of parts and material suppliers, specifications, test mode descriptions, factory inspection certificates and electronic files must be complete for die casting molds.
